Thanks DC! It was fun! Lots of good barley wine made the rounds, and we almost got to perform science on glass vs PET for long-term storage.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

I've done that. PET is good for no more than 6 months.benwedge wrote:Thanks DC! It was fun! Lots of good barley wine made the rounds, and we almost got to perform science on glass vs PET for long-term storage.

Thanks for hosting, DC.
Looks like I missed a couple of interesting bottles, as well as a few pints of blood from sitting outside.

Too many bugs outside, too hot for Fatty inside. I'll bring a fan and chair next time you host.
Cheesecake was worth it! As were the beers.

Also wanted to note: that I also fold up a piece of newsprint, and wrap it in tinfoil, crimp the ends shut, open up one side and fill it with water- recrimp shut to keep water inside. This is wrapped around the cheese cake pan. It helps a lot with keeping the outside from drying out during the cooking process, esp with crappy electric ovens!!

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Re: [Meeting] Brewnosers' August Monthly Meeting
No vanilla beans yet, planing on an a porter or stout to be tapped in november with some !!!
Wanted to through it out there that I found a sweater under my kitchen table, looks like a women's sweater, don't think it's my girlfriends so I figured to put a shout out to see if anyone from the meeting/party left something or came up short on their laundry. 52%wool, 42%silk, 6%cashmere "Anne Klien" size small sweater. If this sounds familiar let me know (here comes the smiley)

Three out of five people who drink this beer experience demonic possession.
