Can't make it. Wish I could but too far and I have a mushroom thing that day. I might have some people over on the 4th to brew in Sackville NB though, so count me in spirit.

Thanks Jimmy!

Hope to see you all here Saturday! As stated in the other thread, if you'd like to split a batch of Challenger Pale Ale, lemme know. I'll have some homebrew and other beer available, and encourage you to bring some homebrew (don't be shy) and/or snacks. For the keeners, it should take ~6 hours, if you'd like to stay for the whole process.

As for gear, I've got everything I need for a 3-vessel all grain brew, but would love it if a BIAB person would be able to bring their setup. I've probably got a burner and propane you could use.

Just noticed you said email - not PM, but I see you already changed it

As for BIAB. I'd like to make it out and could probably bring my BIAB setup with me. Not sure how good my numbers would be though; it would be my first time using the new system.

So put me down for a possible BIAB brew.

Mind you. I would bring my pot burner chiller and could just mash in your cooler.

Not sure what I would be brewing yet, though I was thinking I'd just do a straight BIAB for sake of simplicity and so others could see the process. Last night I tried my keggle BIAB inside the new pot and it fits like a glove

I will most likely get there around noon - interested in seeing your new pot and bouncing a few ideas.

What time is the brewing starting?

I was thinking of brewing saturday but would be more fun to come over chalmers and brew with others. Probably try out the Cooler + BIAB + sparge method (as recommended by jimmy).

Chris, what's the plan for chilling? Should I bring my chiller with me?

We'll have the plate chiller and a pump (or two, if you can bring yours), so we should be all set. We'll just have to plan to not finish boiling at the same time.

I can bring my pump if you'd like. Should I bring my immersion chiller - or should the plate chiller be sufficient? I've never used one and don't want to clog yours up! lol

Right, forgot to say: best to use a hop spider with the plate chiller. You can bring your chiller if you'd like, just to be safe.

Hop spider is fine with me too. I'll bring that instead of my chiller...less water being used and I'm intrigued by the plate chillers anyway.

I'm thinking I might use my cooler now too - not sure yet but it will be a BIAB of some sort.
