VIP ticket holders will get the first samples an half hour early. Limited # available.
This is a 19+ event. A printed copy of ticket will be required at the door. Attendees should be prepared to show ID. No children or pets will be admitted into the venue.

VIP ticket holders will be admiited into the venue early to experience a private tasting session featuring a craft beer that will not be sampled during the Festival. Get the first taste of these great brews. All VIP ticket holders will also be invited to attend a private seminar on proper beer tasting. Limited # available.


I'm thinking about making the trip up.

I'd love to be, but with baby #2 due to arrive a week after that, I think I'd be pushing my luck just a wee bit.

I plan on being there. My brothers live in Fredericton and that's my birthday weekend so the stars are aligning.

A whole WEEK? You'll be fine! If the due date was maybe a day before that, THEN I'd worry, because you wouldn't want to risk wasting 50 bucks.

Cool. At this point i have work in Ottawa and Moncton that week,might as well finish things off in Fredericton.

There is not much information as to what will be going on.

I'm interested. VIP are sold out, which is a shame but it is probably worth it go get the regular access. Any idea what breweries will be there?

If it were a better time of year for camping, I'd be all over this.

Apparently there was a really bad fire there that affected the Garrison, Picaroons and the apartments that all share the same block.

Goddamn. Really bad news.

At first, their twitter account said they'd be closed for "a few days"... but it's sounding like it may be longer than that, unfortunately.

Sounds like they plan on being open again before February.

Maybe it's not as bad as the initial reports.

I work a couple of doors down from them; this morning at 9:00 a fire truck was still outside with the hose connected up and all that, but no smoke noticeable. Looks like the contractors are apparently going to start work tomorrow, and they plan to be open within 2-3 weeks again. Good news!

Hopefully that's all it takes, and insurance is good for it. Quite the brawl going on in HFX over a burned down pub.

Garrison District Ale House / Up Wine Bar
4 hours ago.

The contractor was in this morning. Renovations will start first thing tomorrow and should only take a couple of weeks.

Fortunately, most of the damage was water and smoke related. Of course, those big axes don't do walls any favours (except, of course, to help put fire out).

We'll see you soon, and in the meantime we'll be thinking about how great and supportive this community is.
