So, my flight arrives the afternoon of Aug 2nd.. planning on spending a whirlwind weekend in Halifax visiting old friends and doing a bit of:
before heading to PEI for the rest of the following week.

Would really enjoy catching up with some Brewnosers, meeting some new members, and drinking some great beers. Any interest in a mid summer event? I obviously can't host so interest in that is also in question (nice of me to suggest somebody else have a party isn't it.. ).

I'm in.

So to clarify.. interest in Aug 3 (Saturday of long weekend) event! Jimmy thought it was a weekday!

Unfortunately that's Sappyfest weekend. There's a 90% chance I'll be there.

I'm interested but may still be out of town that weekend.

I'll miss you that weekend too Tim (camping plans made looong ago).

(So you'll be back over in Nova Scotia for race weekend #4 the next weekend though right? )

I'm not going to make it to AMP.. well might catch the 'very' end of the day. Have another thing that weekend on PEI.

Yes, seems like a few of the old guard are going to be out of town that weekend which is a bit of a downer. I guess I'll bump this thread a bit in a couple weeks and see if we can't gauge interest for those folks that will be around (and a venue..).

For those who don't know, Kai and Judy are packing up the wagons and heading out west. I'd like to get together with a bunch of us, maybe on the 3rd. And make that our monthly meeting. Also of note, August 3rd will be the 100th anniversary of the Wheatland Hop Riot.

I think I'm in for an Aug. 3rd event - should be back from Boston and needing a break from family by then!

So X can't do the hosting / organizing of this shin dig (some sort of family commitment.. blah blah blah ). Anybody else want to step up to the plate? From chatting with a few folks there would be some interest for sure (Jimmy, Becky, Liam, Leafman, Nash, Know1 are all around.. Assuming Kai / Judy would be in per above). No need for anything elaborate.. simple pot luck / shared beer format. Afternoon and/or evening.

Otherwise, maybe we'll just all converge at RB for the Cask (not near as fun as a proper 'event' but still fun.. I guess, ha).

Margaret is non-committal on hosting, we need to travel the next day. I could see an outing or even pub crawl.

Yup, looking more and more like a pub crawl is what it'll be. I'm down with that! Hopefully that Nash fucker has something 'decent' on tap at RB and H&T.
