I was mighty sad that I missed this month's Brewnosers meeting. To make up for it, I'd like to invite y'all out to my place for an impromptu tasting.
This one is a little different, in that I've got a backlog of 50+ beers in my "To Drink Now" queue, and really want to get to them before they start to fade (ie, some fresh/wet-hopped beers, various IPAs, etc, witbiers, etc). So I'd like to suggest folks don't bring any beer, but maybe bring a snack or small contribution towards the cost. If you've got beers in a similar state, this might be a good time to bring them along. For those of you who got in on the private ordering, this would also be a great time to pick up your beer.

I probably won't make tonight. Can only do one beer related event per day.

8 of us out in Sprytown tonight. Just had possibly the last bottle of Hop Mess Monster in existence. Still tasting awesome! Will send pictures in a little bit. Wish you were here.

Thanks to everyone who made the trek out to Spryfield (or came from 4 doors down).
In all, we had 25 different bottles (we also tasted from the kegerator, just to calibrate our palates).
Like I posted last night, we had a bottle of Messie, a bottle of the Simcoe SMaSH experiment, some 2 year-old Cuvee Van De Keizer Red, as well as a new Blue one, and about 10 different IPAs that I thought we should drink now rather than wait any longer.
No bad/off beers, and the bigger IPAs were still plenty aromatic, which was a pleasant surprise.
Thanks again to those who were able to make it out for the last-minute thrown-together tasting! I'm going to have Cinnamon Toast Crunch Pita bites on a piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast.
