January Meeting, to be held on the 14th
Let's discuss where to hold this month's meeting. Last one was in Sprybeeria, anyone downtown (or elsewhere) willing to host?
We saw a few new faces in December, hope to keep this new faces rolling in!

Let me clear it with the wife. I'll try to see if I can host on the 14th. How many guys show up typically? If I can host we will be unfortunately limited to the basement (2 kids, ages 1 & 3 sleeping).
I'm located in Lr Sackville.

C'mon, Keith, you're the man. Lay down the law!keithforbes wrote:Let me clear it with the wife.

Depending on the weather, we might be able to swing this month's meeting. Tentatively, at least, any other Valley Brewnosers interested in carpooling?

Re: January Meeting, to be held on the 14th
At December's we had 16 people (guys and gals), I believe. Typical is about a dozen or so. While we don't get yelling and encouraging each other to do beer bongs, it might be loud if we are right below a child's bedroom.
Change of venue is great, as I know there are several Sack-villains (Lower and Middle) that are unable to make it into town for a meeting. Hopefully one in that direction will encourage them to come!
I'll certainly make an effort to come.

A heck of a lot easier from the Valley too so, Keith, if you can convince your wife to let a gaggle of beer nerds into your house, it'd be great.chalmers wrote:Change of venue is great, as I know there are several Sack-villains (Lower and Middle) that are unable to make it into town for a meeting.

I will be in Halifax that Tuesday, will see if I can make it. I will be staying at the Westin so it might be tricky getting out to Lwr Sackville, but I will do my best.

Thanks for trying, Keith!
If no one else is able to host, we should get together for a pint downtown, to make it easy on Jon.

Re: January Meeting, to be held on the 14th
I'm thinking the summer will be more ideal for me to host, already have a great outdoor area. Just starting a string of renovations and today she's been hauling all the stuff into the room I'd be hosting in. Building a bedroom for my daughter or son (who ever wins that fight), All windows (hopefully doors as well), and an addition to the deck, and putting in a stone fire pit.
If money permits I'll be doing the bathroom over. Tell you one thing, last time I buy a house that needs renovations lol. Great price, but lord jesus takes all my spare time and money lol.

Yeah, only one night unfortunately (and an early start on Wednesday morning). But it would be great to attend the meeting, and I was hoping to check out Stillwell at leastGAM wrote:Just one night?gm- wrote:I will be in Halifax that Tuesday, will see if I can make it. Shean can host. Spryfield/Armdale area. As he still mostly reads this and doesn't post he doesn't have access to club discussions yet to post this. Usual 7:30 for 8:00 start time. Message sheanhiggins or me to get the address.

Assuming I'm in town*, I'll be going. Can bring Quebec beer with me, if people EMAIL or text me. Seriously, EMAIL, not PM, my EMAIL address is to the right under my name.
gm-, I can give you a lift there, and possibly back to hotel again after. And same goes for two or three peninsula dwellers.
*Afternoon flight home from St. John's, so hoping all goes as planned...

I drank a lot of gössard while I was in Budapest years ago, it was a nice lager, have you tried the Unicom swack? That shits nasty, it's the Hungarian national drink.

We both read this as "Unicorn". I'd be happier with Unicorn.dexter wrote:I drank a lot of gössard while I was in Budapest years ago, it was a nice lager, have you tried the Unicom swack? That shits nasty, it's the Hungarian national drink.

I'll be there with Bell(wood)s on. Also a growler of IPA from Barnone that hopefully has held up.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.
