Hey All,
I'd like to invite the Brewnosers to my place Sat June 7th to enjoy a few beers, food and some lawn games followed by a campfire.
Festivities to start around 1pm and go until done.

We can hash out more details as the time gets closer. I haven't hosted a large event like this before. So input and suggestions are more than welcome!

Sounds like fun, Keith! Unless something untoward happens between now and then, count us in.

Now, the real question is... What'd you have to do to get your wife to agree to this shindig? Or do we want to know?

Glad to hear you are planning on attending. As for what did I have to do for her to agree to it? I put my foot down is what I did haha jkin.
I don't think she knows what is coming her way to be honnest.

Will the event have a name? "The Real Keith’s beer"? "Stanleyfest"?

Entertainment? Juggling clowns? Brass bands are good for a bit of pomp and ceremony.

A theme? Experimental brews? (I could make my FWH beer to bring)

I’m sure it will be a great event, whatever, with your hospitality.

I believe Justin already has a Stanfest. May be a bit confusing. As for "The Real Keith's Beer" I think we can be more original ha-ha.

Entertainment. Food, Beer, Lawn Games, and good company. Anyone is welcome to bring a guitar.
Theme. I'm open to suggestions if people want to go this route.

My mother said it to me when I was telling her about something the other week on the phone that was pissing me off … in an understanding, commiserative and slightly dismissive tone … “life isn’t all beer and skittles Mark” after she said that, I understood, it was life, that’s all, settled, end of discussion.

Skittles is ninepins, the precursor to 10-pin bowling, it was a popular English pub game.

Life should be all beer and skittles .

Since you are having lawn games; would “Beer and Skittles” be any good for a name for the event?

Is it a sleepover event? Tents?

I have room in the yard for a couple tents, but not that large a space. I can always check with my neighbours and see if I can borrow their backyards.

What is your address (or at least approximate location)?

i'm on Churchill Downs Circle in Lr Sackville.

My wife was wondering how many people usually attend these events lol.
