Brewnosers Monthly Meeting - May 2014
Date: Tuesday, May 13 (we always hold these events the second Tuesday of the month)
Time: 8pm - end (folks usually show up at 7:30pm, but we try to not open any of the really special beers till 8)
Who: You! And all of your beer-loving friends!
What: Please bring homebrew or other interesting beer (picked up while out of province, or from one of our growing number of small craft breweries) to share with your fellow beer advocates. If possible, two 355mL bottles (or equivalent volume), to ensure the dozen-plus attendees will each have a chance for a taste. If no beer, snacks are always appreciated, especially homemade ones. Interesting cheese and bread are always popular choices.
Where: TBD in this thread
Discuss...
Unfortunately, I'll be away, so cannot attend or host. Last month's trek to Sackville was very well attended, hopefully this one in Halifax or Dartmouth is popular too.

My wife is out of town next week, so I don't mind hosting if you all don't mind the trip to Cole Harbour. I'm not very bus convenient, so some of you may need to carpool.

As it stands right now I'm going to be sitting out. Wife took on a few incentive accounts at work and is driving the overtime in. If she's home at a descent time Tues, count me in.

Oh! Keith's old avatar reminds me, I have cats, so fair warning on that. I'll vacuum ahead of time, and one of them will likely avoid us all night, but the other won't.

I'm in if I can catch a ride from and to the peninsula. Will try to save some cucumber saison for judgment.

Beer is in the running for the healthiest of all alcoholic beverages. It has antibiotic, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties. It has been proven that drinking up to 3 beers a day decreases your risk of heart disease by around 30% and it also lowers your risk of getting diseases like diabetes. Beer is also chock full of important vitamins and minerals that you need to survive.

I've got room in my car for anybody that wants to head out, I can swing by anywhere close to either bridge. The only catch is I won't be staying to late. I'll probably be there around 8:00 or 8:30, and leaving around 10:00 or 10:30.

Re: Brewnosers Monthly Meeting - May 2014
Thanks for hosting last night's meeting, Andrew. It was my first meeting and I had a great time. I got to meet some really nice people and try some new beers. I'm looking forward to trying even more beers. Can't wait for next month's meeting, hopefully I can make it again.

I was enjoying myself too much to think of taking pictures. Not sure if anyone else did.

I took a picture of the beers this morning, I'll post them tomorrow. It was a small meeting, but it was a good time.
