Brewer's Bash 2014

Post by canuck » Mon May 12, 2014 9:10 pm

It was an amazing event last year and I certainly won't be missing it this year. Is anyone else planning on attending it in July?

Good stuff Jeff, it's really a kick ass event. No specific details yet on when tickets will be for sale. This is off their FB site.
Details regarding tickets and more importantly, THE BEER, will be coming at you later this month - StandBy.

Jdobbs and I booked our hotel room at the Crown Plaza, and while it was a little pricey at $190, it's crawling distance from Officer's Square.

Yeah, the UNB campus is a bit further away (30 min walk, 5 min drive), but pretty hard to beat a room for $37.

Looks like they will start selling the tickets on Tuesday morning next week.

Chalmers and I got our tickets, see you there :cheers3:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Really hoping to make it, but am unsure right now. The Mrs. and I are taking a trip to Maine that week, and if I can finagle it, I'll start the trip with this.

Ticket booked. So glad to return to this. May arrive a bit late with the family, but looking forward to a long, good day again. Planning on getting a room at UNB to crash, too, instead of getting back to Rusagonis somehow.

Our Maine trip may now be a Montreal trip. Either way, there's good beer. Still unsure about which way to go, though.
