This will be the first Atlantic Canada commercial brewing competition. It is sanctioned by the BJCP so judging points are on offer.

There will be other activities as well. Mirella Amato, a BJCP Judge and Canada's only Master Cicerone will participate in the judging and will also be giving a one day course as well as working on a beer/food event at The Stubborn Goat.

So who is running the event?

Me. And CAPS - The Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers. I sit on their board. It's a pretty fantastic bit of collaboration between CAPS. BJCP. BrewNosers and the Ladies Beer League. Looks like one major Atlantic Canada brewery will be pansies. I'll let you know when to start making fun of them.
