"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Is finding your place a game? Do you hide beer in geocaches along the way?

Beer is in the running for the healthiest of all alcoholic beverages. It has antibiotic, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties. It has been proven that drinking up to 3 beers a day decreases your risk of heart disease by around 30% and it also lowers your risk of getting diseases like diabetes. Beer is also chock full of important vitamins and minerals that you need to survive.

Looking forward to hanging out and sharing some beers with you mellon farmers. It's been a long time since my last free meeting Tuesday.

Bringing some Red-X lager and a couple other brews.

I'm bringing my recent attempt at a Belgian wit (with ClarityFerm), but it seems "off" somehow to me and I want some feedback...

I'm expecting to be there, not sure what time.

I've got a bottle of Kriek Boon that my Dad was apparently hoarding. Bottled in 2008 and now about 7 months past the best before date printed on the bottle, but I've never had a lambic so I won't know if it's past its prime :D

I'll be heading down only for a short visit to pick up the yeast. I've got a head cold that has rendered my sense of taste useless.
