HRM Meeting - July 14
Hi folks,
The Monthly HRM meeting is tomorrow, July 14. Is anyone able to host? I cannot, but likely will be there, with Surplus in tow, probably a bit late.
New members (and friends) are absolutely welcome, here's the primer for those of you who haven't come before.
=======================
Welcome to the Brewnosers! Our group started in 1986, with four guys getting together regularly to share their homebrew and interesting beers from around the world.
While the forums (and previously email lists) are now the easiest mode of communication, we still get together monthly to share and talk about beer. We'd love to have you join us.
What: Get together to share your homebrew wins (and fails), interesting beers from across the province, and around the world. We try to share beer that most of us would not have the ability to otherwise try. Special beers from the local breweries or brewpubs, out-of-province purchases, specialty beers from the private beer stores in HRM, etc. Snacks for sharing are welcome too. We talk about everything, from treating HRM water for an ESB recipe, to Bike lanes and Arduino programming. If you have questions about the brewing (or drinking) process, this is a great time to ask.
When: We get together on the second Tuesday of every month. Rule of thumb: 7:30 for 8pm start. Meetings can go till 11pm or 1am, depending on the month.
Where: Meetings are held at members' places most anywhere in the HRM. People will volunteer their spot a few days in advance; we don't always know where the meeting will be a week in advance, but know it will take place on the second Tuesday.
Who: You! And 6-20 other beer lovers. We will have a great mix of new homebrewers, though who have been brewing for 10+ years, commercial brewers, and those who just like to drink the results of their hard work.
How: That's up to you, but we strongly encourage carpooling, using Halifax Transit, or making other plans on how to get back home safe.
Don't worry if you don't have any "worthy" beer to bring, snacks are a welcome alternative.

Re: HRM Meeting - July 14
If there is interest in a small get-together tomorrow I can host - I've moved into a 1BR apartment in the West End so it is not optimal for a big meeting, and if anyone else can host I am happy to defer. That said, I am more than happy to host if no one else can and seeing as it is fairly last minute I can't see it getting too big for my place.
I'd also like to remind everyone (or inform those that haven't heard) about the Ardmore Summer Alefest this Saturday! It is going to be a lot of fun - check it out:

Re: HRM Meeting - July 14
Seeing as it is tonight I'm not sure that we will be able to swing anywhere else. My place will be fine for 10-15 people. I haven't seen many more people than that at any of the recent meetings anyways. Please just post in the thread if you intend to come.
It is 6306 Cork St, right on the corner of Dublin and Cork. Buzz me to be let in (I am listed as Mol, L.) and come on up to Apartment 203. 7:30 for 8 start time.

I wonder sometimes since I often get the same answer to the questions I ask even though they're from different names.KMcK wrote:There are no people behind the names. We're all just bots.

Re: HRM Meeting - July 14
I'm sending a set of my tap handles in with Jimmy in case anyone wants to look at (or buy) them! So just ask him, because due to the snazzy carrying case I made, I doubt he'll be just holding onto them.
Enjoy the meeting!
