I believe Ian wanted to host this one, if I heard correctly at the Carpenters' get together.
That sounds just fine to me!

YES. I did offer and it still stands. The forecast isn't too hot but we still may be able to sit on the deck. I've installed a canopy that opens over the upper part. So come in through the gate and we'll be up on the deck or go through the back door into the kitchen. Graham will be here and may have dragged home some west coast beers. 1756 Cambridge Street, near Oxford and Jubilee. The usual time: "7:30 for 8"

Ian the backwards brewnoser :welcome:

Sadly I had to reschedule my entire month this morning, and headed home. I won't be out to another one until January from the looks of things (but I will try to make it up for Hoptoberfest!) Have fun.

You don't "try to make it" for Hoptoberfest. You reschedule everything if possible!

I play tournament bridge. There's a tournament that weekend, which I hate to miss and we promised people we'd play with them on Sunday... but it's HOPTOBERFEST!!! So we're skipping the first part of the tournament. I didn't promise them I'd be playing without a hangover...

I'll be there.
As a reminder for new members, the idea is to bring 2-3 bottles (or equivalent) of homebrew or interesting beers from here or away. Don't worry if your homebrew is not perfect, we are here to give some suggestions or bright ideas. If you can't bring any beer, please do bring some snacks: cheese, crackers, bread, meat, etc. The success of these get togethers relies on everyone bringing a few goodies, but most importantly having fun!
Anyone else have anything to add?

Sadly, I will not be making this meeting. Feeling under the weather and that + drinking + imminent move is not a great combination.

Lol, I look like I'm sleeping in that pic.

That was a great meeting other than my exploding "flat" barleywine.

I have to admit that I was pretty tipsy when I left there last night. :drunk:

Pics aren't the best, just wanted something for the thread. I was feeling pretty good myself when I left. :drunk:

Me too. Not drunk, but very satisfied.
I didn't get people' reactions to the Smashed Blueberry. It wasn't as stand-out for me as it was at the fest, could very well have been the Southern Tier Choklat and Malediction we had just drunk. Looking forward to sharing a bottle with EZ soon on a clean palate, will report back.

PS, that, and the Mad Tom IPA and St. Ambroise IPA and Maredsous Tripel are all at the NSLCs now. Bayers Lake and Joe Howe had them all, I think MIc Mac had a few as well. You can use this shortcut to find the newest Beer additions at the NSLC: http://www.mynslc.com/Pages/advancedSea ... ducts=True" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

How many beers does it take before your eyes get that red, John?

Took a pic of this one before I recycled it. Was a really good beer IMHO.

Recycled?? Or do you mean filled with lambic? Or could it not take the high pressure? I'd take it if you still have it.

When I meant recycled, I meant with lambic. It's a flat bottom, but it's also very heavy, so I think it will work.
