Truro meeting April 30

Hey Guys,

My wife confirmed with me today that she will take the kids to her mothers for the night. Which means I have full usage of the house for beer drinking (I mean testing)

It will be April 30th anytime after 6. I have a dog, but she's pretty friendly after a few smells and pets.

PM me for address.

I cannot wait to try everyone's El Dorado Pale. I bottled mine today and it tasted way better today than when I racked to secondary last week.

Posted on the other discussion that I am also away that night on business. I can look to host this one but will have to be in May with my schedule (and my beer's schedule) right now.

Talked to a few of you and finding very hard to find a meeting date that works for most people. Mark has offered April 30th at his place and not sure if that offer is still on? Most weekends at least one person is not available and we have Mother's Day in the mix. I would advise that we steer clear of that Sat nite if we want to stay married! :o So, I am throwing out the following dates that I can host. Let's see what works. Please respond.

Friday May 6
Friday May 13
Sat May 14
Fri May 27

Other option is to look at a weeknight which I am generally flexible on. Lemme know what works. Can't wait to see how everyone's pale ale turned out. Just kegged min last night. :mebeer:

My house is bananas right now. I can only do May 13th or May 27th. I can take a back seat and send beer if I can't make it. I work early the 28th but could swing it the night prior. I think a 1 pound of El Dorado fell in in my 10 g batch. Might me an IPA. ha ha. Also added some extra Columbus for bittering.

The 6th is the only good (friday) night for me in May. And that is not all that great as I have a early day on the 7th to contend with.

Well maybe we should look at a weeknight or some time in June? Looks like everyone is pretty jammed this month.

Sorry Jeff. I've been super busy with a new job, so haven't had time to check the boards much. I am good for all the dates listed above.

I cannot believe how good that El Dorado pale turned out. I wasn't quite sure at first, but it's been in bottle for 3 weeks now and gets better every bottle I have.

Mark, understand. Everyone seems busy. Maybe we leave it for June?

McKay, you slayed that keg! Can't say I am as happy with mine. Seems a bit thin, aroma/taste is good but body is not as good. I think I prefer a more complicated mix of hops as I felt the same way about my SMASH.

I was really happy with the way mine turned out. The columbus/ el dorado combo is deadly!

A week night and June is fine by me being a shift worker and all it is always hit or miss.

I assume that Makay75 will be brewing a second batch very soon to replace that Keg. It was good but only had a teaser taste of it.

I too am happy with my Truro Brew even if Woody claims it to be a APPA (A pussy pale ale) and not meeting his bench mark of 100 IBUs. I have been staying off that Keg trying to save it for the meeting.

For the record Steve I like your pussy pale ale. Nice balance of bitterness and malt. I just have a hop addiction. There I said it. I need help boys! My taste buds are fried and I can't go back.
