Selling off most everything

Post by Garak » Tue Dec 27, 2011 6:17 pm

After a few months of beer not agreeing with my guts its time to clear out my brewing stuff. I can't enjoy what I brew anymore. The good news is that wine seems to treat me ok.

Anyway Lots to sell off:
Edit: The Items in italitcs are spoken for. I'll get back to everyone in the next few days, I'm having some computer trouble.

All malts are going for 50cents a pound just to keep things simple
Malts:
55lbs Canadian 2 row, unopened bag
10lbs Canadian 2 row
55lbs Superior Pale Ale Malt (Canadian) unopened
55lbs Superior Pilsen (Canadian) unopened

~3/4 Bag Pilsen (Bards UK)
~3/4 bag marris otter
~22lbs roasted Barley
11lbs Baird's Chocolate Malt
5.5lbs Kiln Coffee
11lbs Wheat Malt
~4lbs Special Aromatic
~3lbs Crystal 30L
~10lbs Crystal 120L
~10lbs Smoked Malt
~10lbs Munich
~10lbs Dark Munich
~13lbs Caramel Malt Pils

All amounts are estimates, will weigh to confirm the amount.

Pellet Hops: 50 cents an oz
15oz Bramcross
15oz Cascade 7.5% AA
16oz Cascade 7.5% AA
13.5 oz Hall Trad 6.9% AA
16 oz Fuggles 4.3% AA
15 oz Nugget 12% AA
9 oz Newport 9% AA

These have been sitting in the freezer for a while, some were not sealed well and everything was starting to taste like hops comming out of my freezer.

Dry Yeast:
Frementis
2 11.5g S04
3 11.5g US-05
2 11.5g S-23
2 11.5g WB06
Lallemand
1 11g Windsor

I haven't decided what gear I'm going to sell off yet. I'm going to hang on to the carboys and stuff for making wine. I might sell the all stainless steel heatstick, aluminum pot, 15.5 gal keg and 10 gal cooler mash tun. I'm not sure what I'm doing with my kegs and perlicks either.

One thing that I've decided to sell is the Barley Crusher malt mill.

Anyway make me offers.

Edit: A few more items
3pc set of Brewery Saccharometers /w graduated cylinder
Counter flow chiller
Various Keg O-ring

Hey Chris sorry to hear about the beer not agreeing with you. I'm interested in:

55lbs Canadian 2 row, unopened bag
55lbs Superior Pale Ale Malt (Canadian) unopened
4lbs Special Aromatic
and the Counter flow chiller

I'll cover the grains at cost to you but I'm not sure what you want for the chiller. Drop me a pm and let me know.

Thanks
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
