Dunno what shipping is like to Canada (probably awful), but almost everything is well under $10/lb

IIRC, they won't ship to Canada.

I've had stuff shipped from NB (UPS or FedEx - no USPS), but that was 3 years ago. Shipping & brokerage was almost as much as the stuff itself.

IIRC they got some really sketchy legal advice about cross border shipping.

From what I understand, they also didn't want to deal with irate customers coming after them about duty fees. Which will happen no matter how much you warn someone before they purchase.
