Anyone know where to purchase PT poles for my hop trellis? Marwood wants $106 a piece.

Go to your local Kent, Home Hardware, etc. 4x4 or 6x6, 16 feet is plenty for this climate, 12 foot exposure. Should you need more height, you can alway scab a piece on the top. Last bunch of 6x6x 16 I bought were $46.50 a piece.

Up here in Sydney, Home Depot didn't have 16' 4x4s. Central did, at a really good price (forget how much, but surprisingly cheap). Made these. 8x16x12 foot trellis, plus deck surround.

16' are nowhere near high enough. I had been using 16' poles, 12' exposure, and the hops are over the top and back down to the ground. The end of last year they finally rotted off and broke, so I'm replacing this year with something more substantial.

Thanks. Called them last night. They might be able to get me 24' 6x6 pressure treated... Waiting to hear on a price.
