Re: WANTED: 2" copper pipe
Yes, that stuff is expensive! Ended up doing my 'project' in 1.5. Works great and much cheaper.
I now need a 2 to 1.5 adaptor to make a sanke adapter to finish my new boiler.

Re: WANTED: 2" copper pipe
There is a length of 1.5 on kijiji right now, but I really want to hold out for the 2". I have a very cool end product in mind that incorporates the brew gear as well. I guess I'll have to wait patiently....
Any pictures of what you've built?

Assuming we are talking about the same type of project...

Used to sit on a 3gal pot , then on a t500 lid on a grainfather, now I have modified a sanke with a 4500w element and going to make a sanke adapter to fit it to. Then I will be able to do man size batches
Mines both pot and reflux. The column (insulated) comes off and the piece from there up plugs in.

Re: WANTED: 2" copper pipe
Nice! I especially like the Parrot. Planning for mine to be a little simpler that yours, but i am starting from scratch with the sanke. I'm going for full reflux, but have found some good copper scrubbies that would pack the column nicely if i decided to. Good times...jimboh wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2017 2:13 pmAssuming we are talking about the same type of project...

Re: WANTED: 2" copper pipe
I ended up going stainless scrubbies. A lot of the copper ones aren't pure copper.
This model is quite easy to make and its a big bonus it being both P and R.
The most expensive part was the stainless needle valve, but worth every penny.

If you can find a couple people who want to do a similar project, the price of a full length isn't that bad.

Yeah, for sure. New pip would be way better that old stuff too. Know anyone? HahahaJimmy wrote:If you can find a couple people who want to do a similar project, the price of a full length isn't that bad.
