No. But just curious: what are you going to do with 2" copper pipe?

I have used 1.5". If you can get a good deal I might be persuaded to go half.
Any idea what the price is for 8ft from Northeast Equip? I might be able to get trade price.

I have a quote from one place, can’t remember the name. They were 14.50 a foot. Without me asking he came down to $100. Could offer $85.

Yup. Just looking at distilling some water. Have an extra keg and like to tinker.

I would need to add 2" sankey ends on the ends. Looked on aliexpress. This might be a better way to go https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Sh ... ad6b&tpp=1

Those look awesom. I was just gunna solder stainless tri clamps on each end. Probably end up being close to the same price. To bad they weren’t just a little longer.

Be more expensive obviously, but can buy more than one and have a modular system.

Have you considered Stainless Steel thin wall Tubing? A bit harder to make the connections but once it's done there is no wear and tear.

There's a supplier in Washington state that specializes in copper wool for the distilling industry. Word of advice, unless you completely trust your source of copper wool, there is a better than average chance that it is not.

I saw a forum post recently that gave two US brands that were supposedly 100% cu.
I couldn't find any when I built so went with cu column and ss scrubbers. Got those from Home Hardware If I recall correctly. Can't guarantee they are 100% ss but no visible signs of rust.

Problem with SS is that any dissolved sulphur will transfer into the final product, water or whatever. Thinking you only get to about 90%, i.e. 10% impurities. With the proper copper you'll see 96%. Not sure if it's worth it for you for water.

So I decided to upgrade my column from 1.5" to 2". I'm switching from copper column/stainless scrubbers to stainless column and copper mesh packing.

I ordered 2 of these from aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/0.h ... 2808348571

Total $54 CAD and that includes 2 x 18" SS columns and 2x 2" Clamp and 2x Gasket!!!
Clamps and gaskets alone would be $20 on ALI or $30 at OBK.
So I can have a 0" or a 18" or 36" packed column.

Will let you know the quality when it arrives in a month or so.

In the past I just wedged mine in, no chance of them falling out by themselves.
But there is this but its not cheap:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Perf-Sc ... 40835.html

or this is cheap but not sure about using non silicon gasket:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/11-2-15 ... 30968.html

also I did see a long length with the screen like this last one during my searching but can't find it now.

There are quite a lot of ideas out there for a simple screen. Either from a sink screen or another idea is a perforated copper 2" circle (1 will cut a 2" length of 1.5" pipe, split it, hammer it flat, cut the circle and drill a lot of small holes or maybe just 4 or 5 big ones) and a retaining ring(form a length of 1/4" tube into a slightly oversized ring that can be forced up the column to hold the perf plate in place).
Lots of options.
