WTB: Grain Mill

Post by wcturnedec » Fri Feb 23, 2018 9:33 am

Hi folks,

I'm in the market for grain mill with a hopper, anyone looking to sell or have suggestions?

Originally I was looking at this one at Everwood: http://www.everwoodavebrewshop.com/product-p/35660.htm

In chatting with Mike at Everwood he actually said these ones came came with defective rollers so they weren't really trying to sell them (even though they show out of stock).

Thanks!

I may have what you seek. I'll text you.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I’ve been doing some reading lately on mills as well. Any of you try the malt muncher from OBK? I was thinking MM3 from Dave but for 100$ less if the build quality is the same...

Check out my post a few months ago for some feedback on most mills available but I don't think we covered the malt muncher.

I just saw NG in Burnside has one on the clearance table for $100. Reg. $180.
Didn’t really look at it though.
