Hey All,
Canadian Tire in Lower Sackville (and maybe all CT locations) has a good 1/2” chuck corded drill on sale. It’s a ‘mud mixer’ and it’s a good drill for grain mills such as the Monster Mill pro 2. It’s a lower rpm / higher torque drill and the trigger itself is variable speed also the trigger itself has a variable speed dial on it. I bought one a while back when I bought my Mill from Everwood and I’m really happy with it. Good deal at$90, reg. $180.
I took a picture of it but can’t seem to attach it.

Not bad. I use a similar looking "slow speed" drill from Princess Auto that cost slightly less IIRC (may have been on sale). It's not variable speed but I put it on a fan speed switch to dial it in.

Yep. When I bought mine it was on sale for $80, and then I saw the Princess Auto one and said to myself ‘damn, I’m glad the Mastercraft one was on sale’ otherwise I would have been pissed. The variable speed setup is pretty good though.

My experience with every mastercraft tool I’ve owned has been terrible. However I’m a carpenter and I put things to the test a bit more than most people would. I would however never rely on a mastercraft tool as a permant fixture in my brewery regardless of the deal on it.

Then again.... you could buy a lot of those tools for the price of a competent brand of a similar make..... and those break too.

Sooooo have at er
