LF beer bottles (for the holiday exchange)

Post by jacinthebox » Thu Nov 15, 2018 8:20 am

Anyone have a mass of brown crown top bottles they are looking to get rid of? Looking here before I buy new for our exchange beer.

Just bought a dozen of these from a guy in Sackville for $20. All were Meander River branded.

He may not have all Meander but they will all be 1L torpedo style as pictured. They were pretty clean. Just soaked in PBW and rinsed then sanitized and was good to go.

I need bottles as well and have been searching. At this point I would be fine with new ones, but can't even find those. God I hate bottling haha

I have 10 dozen ish on hold at the bottle depot just off lady Hammond Rd.

I called to ask them to put some aside and they had the 10 dozen put aside in less than 2 days so you could try calling them up, they should be able to find a bunch for ya. If not you can have half of mine.

They charge $4 per dozen.

I have 5 cardboxes each containing a dozen 22 oz bottles (bombers) I'd be happy to part with for some homebrew or good karma, or even just to get them out of my basement. I'm in Downtown Dartmouth.

Ditto to Tim's post above, I have a dozen or two bombers that can go to a good home.

Is the Advent not suppose to be 355? If so that is what I need also. Any luck Brathair?

I got some at quinpool on the weekend.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

There's a guy on kijiji selling grolsch for 10 a dozen with the milk crate to go with them. I have his number if anyone wants it to text. He left them outside for me and I dropped money in the mail box. Hassle free.

He's in lower sackville.

I have an ad on kijiji for 192 Grolsch Bottles in bankers boxes (24 per box) that I would be willing to let go to members for what I paid $100. I have well over 500!
Drinking: Best Coast IPA, Old Speckled Hen Clone, Northern Lights (NG),
Belgian Saison, Blonde Ale, Toy Soldier Stout(OBK) and 14G batch of ESB.
Fermenting: Taking a rest!
Scheduled: Another 10G of Toy Soldier Stout.
