Damn :shock:

I sent the seller an e-mail asking what connections they have, how many they have access to, and if they hold pressure.

Hopefully, someone's heading to the island already... because that bridge bumps up the cost of traveling to pick them up.

to save you some waiting time on response, they're all pepsi, he's got lots (thousand or so), his number is 902 892 0314 if you wanted to call..name is Kirk.

i emailed him and asked if he comes to NB at all, and he does...told me to let him know how many i wanted and he'd bring them the next time he's over. I'm just waiting on a few other ppl that were interested, then gonna get in touch with him again. Ask him if he'll be in NS anytime soon???

hell... if he's not coming to NS, I'll make a trip to Moncton to visit the in-laws and meet him there.

I can fit a lot of them in my car (likely 50 or so)... and I'm fine with doing so.

Perhaps he'd cut us a discount if we buy a lot.
I'd likely get 3-4 myself

i already have some, and i'm going to grab a bunch more. Like i keep telling ppl when they're looking to get into kegging, buy extra as its cheaper to buy full kegs for parts than it is to buy keg parts around here....if you're in the states, parts are cheap with the shipping. And in case you get a few that don't hold pressure.. ;)

Wow, that's a great deal. I head to PEI every few months for work, and am happy to pick some up for folks. I don't have a lot of storage room at home, so I wouldn't be able to buy a lot without knowing people would want them. Once I get some details on my next trip, I will let y'all know.

I'll take as many as I can get. I can use 10 more, and I have the space to store 30-40 more at least. People will be looking for them in the future.

Guys - I've got family on the Island and can work out pick up logistics at any time. I'd guess I can likely fit 50ish kegs in my truck if not more.
If we're going to get a group discount, I'd be in for at least 10.

Has anybody been in contact with him? I guess that's the first step. My negotiating skills suck, so maybe somebody else should call. But I can guarantee the money for 25 kegs at $20, and more if we can get a discount. So if anybody wants to try for a volume discount, that may help with the volume. I think it would be good to ask about replacements for faulty lids, pin holes, bad posts, etc....

I've spoken to him... he said he'd negotiate a price once we had a total number that we wanted (fair enough)

I figured it'd be easy to ask about pinholes, etc. once we knew how many we were looking for... but he "says" they're all able to hold pressure.

I'm more than willing to take the trip to NB to pick them up, but I'd prefer not to cross the link, as it adds a lot to the cost of the trip.

So far we have:
akr71 -> 3-5
ratchet -> 3-5
X -> 10
CorneliusAlphonse -> 2
JohnnyMac -> 10

Based on what we've posted here, we're at around 31 kegs (so far).

Hello everyone,

This is my first posting. I contacted Kirk about heading over and picking some up, and he told me he would give me a price if I bought 300 or more. I'm guessing he knows $20 per is a pretty good price. I also asked him if he had any 2.5 or 3 gallon corneys, and he didn't know what they were. I sent him a couple of links, but he didn't say he had any.

He also said he had 2000 of them. I would like 10, and would certainly pay extra to the one who went to get them. I could probably do it myself, but not for a couple months. I would also buy more to make the trip worthwhile - up to 25, if there is space.

I'm also willing to make the trek to NB if that's as close to Halifax as we can get them.

And I want to add "thanks" to everyone for making this site so informative and welcoming.

akr71 -> 3-5
ratchet -> 3-5
X -> 10
CorneliusAlphonse -> 2
JohnnyMac -> 10
derekmac -> 10

Assuming things come together with my work, I will be in PEI the week of Jan 24th, and I think I have room for the ~50 it looks like we are in for (so far). A Ford Escape should hold that many, right?

Once I get confirmation from work, I will let everyone know, and we can figure out payment and schedule. Does everyone live in Halifax, or can come here?

thanks Chalmers.

If more club members want kegs but you don't have any room I will reduce my request from 10. I really don't want to go less than 4, but ultimately I appreciate any you can pick up for me.

I can get the cash to you when you want (before or after the trip works for me) just let me know where.

All the best,

derekmac

Yeah, I don't need 10, but I'd like to get at least 5.
