Anyone see/own anything like this around in your travels?
GF is looking for something more appropriate than 1L masons to brew kombucha in.
Criteria: must be glass, must have at least 3" opening.

Bulk Barn. I saw some (in Woodlawn) on the top of an isle shelf, they had a few different styles and were that big or larger. I was thinking of getting one for fermenting vegies in.

Nice! I'll check it out after work - I'd love to get something like 5-8L for fermenting shit as well. My plastic pickle bucket is way too large for most applications
Would love to get something like this:

I know they exist in ~8L varieties, but that's not an easy thing to find.

On the right track, but I'm not a huge fan of the price after shipping (+$53):

I wonder who sells this type of stuff locally - I'll have to hit up all the shitty home stores in the crossing.

canadian tire/superstore/other stores frequently have similar jars. but usually with plastic lids, and you have to make sure it is actually glass, not plastic

I'll have a look - I don't even need the lid so that may be fine. These get covered with a cloth or foil, most often.

Winners might not be a bad spot to look. They sometimes carry stuff like this.
