This is my junk. Before I put it to the curb, just thought I'd see if there is any interest here. What I am chucking is a Jobmate (eeewwwww) 19.2V cordless drill
and matching remote control car, lol. Yes, this high end drill actually came with a remote controlled car that used the same battery. At any rate, the batteries are done for the most part, but for those of you who have projects that need motors may find this set of value. Garak, I'm looking at you, lol.
Anyway, speak up if you want it.

The cordless drill motor might be good for stirring wort... On that note I already have one in my junk pile. What I really need now is a piece of stainless that will fit in the drill chuck (3/8" O.D. ?).

and you'll need to gear that puppy down to get the right torque and speed.

The one I have now has lots of torque in low gear and I'm not planning on a very large agitator. I'll control speed with an extra PWM output from the temperature controller and one of the many motor control boards I have kicking around. Its mostly for chilling. When testing my immersion wort chiller I noticed that water on the surface was still hot while around the coil it was ice cold. I'm thinking I might have a similar problem with the heating element, though convection should work better when boiling the wort.
I'm using the same cheap chinese drill as the one in my junk pile for cleaning carboys and it has no problem whipping up a 5 gallon whirlpool.

Does the drill still work as a drill? If so I'll take it if Garak doesn't want it! My cordless is the biggest piece of junk ever. Holds a charge for maybe 5min of drilling and it's so old I can't get a new battery (nor is it really worth it).

It still works, but the batteries are fucked. And the clutch is busted up a bit. I don't think it's going to be an improvement for you. This isn't worth it to get new batteries either. If you have a little bit of extra cash, Home Depot has some good sales on this week for battery operated tools. Their Ridgid line has a lifetime warranty on the batteries...

Ah I'm good then. I'll stick to my mighty corded drill! Spare cash = brewing equipment...
