I built a sweet antenna with aluminum tube. This is what i built (and I have blueprints if anyone wants them). Just google Single Bay Gray-Hoverman (SBGH). I don't want to get started, but it is easily the best antenna I've ever had, I went from 20-60% signal with a commercial antenna outside to 100% signal on all channels with this antenna in my attic.

You could make thermowells out of them for your carboys, etc.

What channels do you get with that antennae?

I made one and get CBC, CTV and Global.

Yeah, I get the standard 3 channels, unfortunately I'm too far from Walmart (Chalmers - you should have guessed that!)

It was definitely a project but it allows me to get full strength signal from inside my attic with a large hill blocking line-of-sight to the towers.

Any info or other pics on the cable connection? Can that thing be made out of metal, or does the abs provide insulation?
