Hey Everyone,

So I'm hoping that someone who has upgraded to 10 gal batches might have an extra 5+ gal pot they'd be willing to part with either as a sale or a longish-term loaner. I've got my cooler tun all ready and my 2 gal pot isn't cutting it anymore. I've been looking for one on kijiji for a long time and it hasnt come up yet, plus now that the little one is here (12 days old!) money is tighter then ever. Thanks!

I've been looking myself. This is the cheapest 5 gallon pot I can find, $29.05 for a 5 gallon SS pot, free shipping. There is a 30 quart one as well for $60

Congrats Dave. A good "problem" to have. :)
I'm assuming a keggle wouldn't do the trick, eh?

Yeah, I'm not complaining, she's pretty cool and will make a great assistant brewmaster one day.

The prob with a keggle is that I would then need a propane burner....lol

Not necessarily true! You could also wire a hot water tank element into it!

I have a spare 1/4 keg that would make a decent keggle for 5 gallon batches! 7.75 gallons I think.

By the way, congrats on the new assistant brewer!

The Wholesale Club behind The Bay on Chebucto has some Granny Moses sized stock pots, as well as other restaurant implements. The Trail Shop on Quinpool likely has paddles.

Congratulations on your little girl! She will be a heart breaker!

I have an aluminum 23-25l pot you can borrow. Keep it for a while if you wish. Give me a call @ 448 8252 and arrange pick up.
I am home all day.

Thanks everyone,

Someone came through and I was lent a 7 gallon pot so I'm good for the time being. Got 3 batches done this weekend (for a weeding on the 23rd of July). 3 batches in 4 days was a bit of a stretch but it was good times.
