This is one of the best CBC radio shows. If I miss it I get it on line. Look for baning grade 4 in Nova Scotia and little America in Toronto.

It is a great program. Satirical, it may be. Imagine still though, having sweet water on tap. 4 Tbsp of sugar per 8oz glass or whatever the quantities were.

I hate the show's concept - it's all about doing April Fool's jokes all year long, and making people feel like idiots when they realize they've been taken in.

Despite that, I gotta admit they regularly make me laugh. "Little America" was priceless.
Currently on tap: Whiter Shade of Pale!
In keg: .
In Primary: Nothing

Lots of gems in the comments too:
WinnyJack wrote: This has to be a joke. It's right up there with the April 1st story of Bertie the chicken who turned into Gertie. However, if it is true, I have to comment. The philosophy of putting sugar in the drinking water is based on ignorance. Exchanging soda pop for sugar laden water does not even compute. Hester thinks it is such a victory, but his town is on a downhill slide to many serious health conditions. In addition to diabetes, which he mentioned, I invite him to research the correlation of sugar consumption and pancreatic cancer, damage to artery walls and suppression of the immune system. They say things are bigger in Texas and the poor people of this town will certainly be bigger if they keep drinking the water. Somebody, please save their children!

The quarter store bit is pretty funny because it's half right.
