Anybody know of any organization/charity/etc in HRM that wants computer stuff that is working but unwanted by society (19" CRT monitor, ha!)?
Some place that will come pick it up would be even sweeter, but I'll try and drop it off too. Just seems wasteful to take it to the electronics recycling spot when it still works!
Donate (or pick up!) free computer stuff?

Freecycle

About 15 years ago, when I worked in IT, I got the company to donate all its old/obsolete equipment to an international development charity. They set them up at a school in Africa I believe. Staff from Mount Allison contacted me about it - I wouldn't be surprised if Dal or SMU had something similar.

I think ACEs will recycle it or value village, salvation army takes that kind of thing too, but I don't know if they do pickups.

I forgot about Freecycle, that'll likely work out fine. I'd rather donate to a worthy cause but also don't have time to track down who that might be.
Thanks
