Cub Leader Home Brew

Post by BAMacPherson » Sun Nov 24, 2013 12:45 am

Hey everyone,
This is my first post on the forums but have been lurking about for a month or two and thought it was time to say a hello and relate a quick story.

I'm an engineering student at Dalhousie and this year a roommate and I started brewing beer. First with Festa kits and today we tried our first partial, the Authentic 1820 IPA from Noble Grape. At Dalhousie I'm part of a group that builds a racecar and this past week we had a scout or cub troop come through to look at the car. A couple of days later someone dropped off three bottles of home brew for the team members who stuck around for it! I never even got a chance to catch the name of any of the parents or troop leaders before they all ran off.

Anyway I just wanted to say a big thank you to you, whoever you are, Mr Troop leading, beer brewing man. Thank you very much, and I hope this message finds you!

We've wanted to get to more autocross events but its been difficult. For most of last summer the car was in a shipping container crossing the Atlantic so we could compete at Formula Student UK at Silverstone. It left with two running engines and came back with none so the rest of the summer was a write-off. The school has recently become a lot more restrictive about testing the car as well. Its like we have to get the okay from God himself to get the car out to test anymore.

Here's a photo from the competition in Michigan we went to in May where we finished 40th out of 120 schools, our best finish yet.
