I'm putting together a pool for a 16 team random draw hockey pool for the playoffs. The cost is $10 and winner takes all. Chalmers, BBB, Sanitarium and I are in so we need 12 more teams. First 12 guys who reply "I'm in" will get in the draw. I'm hoping to draw tomorrow evening, maybe over a pint at the RB if schedule permits. Who's interested?
Confirmed:
1. BBBoogie
2. Sanitarium
3. Chalmers
4. LiverDance
5. Homebrewcrew
6. Bluenose
7. Leafsman
8. RobD

It says random pick, does that mean random picking players or teams? I cannot make it to RB tomorrow night but am interested.

Sorry for the confusion, it will be teams. We plan on having 16 names in 1 hat and 16 teams in another and draw that wat. You don't have to be there doing the draw at RB is just so everyone knows its fair. We are are a big outfit but maybe we can organize a regular season draft when the new season rolls around.

Can't make it to RB, but count me in. Would be interested in a regular season draft style pool for next year as well ... TSN hosts a great free fantasy league site.

That's 8 people, so we're cutting it off now. 2 teams per person.
Drawing to take place shortly, updated in real time.

Here's the format we went with: 8 guys, each gets a team from each of the East and West.
Random drawing of the names, and then random drawing of a team from the E and W.
LD was the draftmaster, Chalmers was the secretary, BBB and Sanitarium were in attendance to assure impartiality.
Liverdance: Boston and Chicago
BBB: New Jersey Devils and Detroit
Leafsman: Nashville and New York Rangers
Sanitarium: Pittsburgh and Vancouver
RobD: Philadelphia and San Jose
Bluenose: Washington and Phoenix
Homebrewcrew: St Louis and Florida
Chalmers: LA Kings and Ottawa

To be fair for guys who aren't logged in, we've decided to stick with $10 per person, winner take all.
Sorry HBC, no Detroit or Pittsburgh, but St-L is a decent pick.

St-L not too bad. Sanitarium will be the one too beat.

I'll put up a growler of homebrew on this round, if you are interested, Leafsman and/or Sanitarium. Current list is in my signature.

Will there be any prizes for the person whose teams are eliminated first?

Chalmers - Can't match a growler (yet) but can put up a couple bombers of something.
Rangers vs Ottawa could actually go as an upset in the first round ...

Sounds good to me. I chose growler as I'm lazy and it's easier for me to prep a growler than a couple of bombers.
I was looking at their season series, and this one has been dominated by Ottawa. But who knows what'll happen, now that it really counts.
