B&O GR2400 Stylus
I'm trying to get my old Bang & Olufson record player working again, somehow when my parents moved back in the day the stylus went missing. Does anyone know where I may have luck finding one? I wonder if the stylus is reasonably generic, for example, could any broken B&O turntable with a working stylus be pilfered? I've done a bit of searching online, to no avail, but maybe someone on here can point me in a good direction.

I should add that perhaps the cartridge is broken. I'm no expert in this domain. I suspect that I can get this fixed for less than the cost of a used, lower quality model. But maybe I'm crazy.

Not sure, have you tried Ebay? Try halifaxlocals.

You could remove the cartridge and see if you can find a similar one on eBay. For example, I replaced the cartridge on my sister-in-law's record player with one of these:

I've looked around a bit on Ebay, but I'm not confident enough that I know what I'm doing to blindly drop some cash on it yet.
I'll pull it apart when I'm on the island again and call you up for an expert opinion. I hope the cartridge is generic. I've seen them listed between $20 and $200. And I know what my budget can accommodate.hogie wrote:You could remove the cartridge and see if you can find a similar one on eBay.
