There was a guy snoring on the bench next to me, a unit aid came out called for a guy named mark, nobody answred, i said that he must have left . Pretty funny, it was loud too, we could all tell the guy was probably eating a lot of snot doing so. then he went quiet for like 30seconds then let out one huuuge fart then started snoring again. me and everyone waitng had a good laugh.

Sorry to hear you're stuck there. Are you at least on a drip, so could spike it with vodka or some good beer?

You in the city? I used to drive to Lunenburg when I lived on the Bay road. 80 minutes of driving and an empty waiting room. Lament the rural hospitals all you want, you can usually find a quick ER somewhere near by though.
EDIT: Just realized the zombie nature of this thread, hope the OP made it out by now.

My wife (a nurse) just told me that is used for suction - as in sucking out mucus or someone's stomach contents. Enjoy!

I can probably get an unused one for you. The wife gets me (unused) large barrel syringes that I use for yeast harvesting. I save the slurry, then when the yeast settles out, I suck it up and put it into another clean jar and throw away the rest of the trub and sediment.
