You're at 9991 posts and just about to hit 10,000. Will you get there by the end of this International Beer Day?

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I'd like to make a profound statement, but the only thing going through my mind is why in the fuck do people drink Jägermeister?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I used to drink Jager and OJ almost exclusively. My buddies joked it was vomiting in reverse.

"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

by this logic why do they drink schnaps, shit whiskey and white rum? there are idiots everywhere. Hungarian Swack is the worst! makes jager seem like a dream to drink.

Speech! Speech! .........

Ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you, and without further ado, administrator and first to reach 10,000…Mr. X!

You can't let us down and be lost for words at this time :(

Have you enjoyed the past ten thousand? any big plans for the next ten thousand?

ps. I like the new avatar. The last one scared me a bit, mind you, the cat looks a bit intimidating as well :( (and a touch devious), but definitely more cuddly than Nicki Minaj :)

And this is my 2000th post. I learnt a lot in the process. Thanks Brewnosers for all your help with my brewing. And for putting up with the “look at me doing it” narrative of my journey in brewing.

I know my posts have driven AllanMar absolutely crazy though. Sorry Allan, I can get you some medication if required :)

I can't keep up with X’s posting rate though :)

I think I'll be posting less now that tedious winter is over, and I've made the 2000th post milestone.

:cheers2:

 Truth be known Jeff, I think he loves the site and wants to keep it going, and it’s posts that do that, keep the site going and generate traffic. His posts are interesting and he always makes sure everyone gets a helpful response in a timely fasion. I apologized to him at Hoptoberfest for posting so much and he said, no, he never complains about that, it takes some of the pressure off him. He does a lot for the site. Thanks X.
