Thanks for bringing down those few things to me. Too bad I was on call and couldn't join you for a brew and a better chat.

Perhaps one of these days I'll be off call when either of you guys drop down this way and then we could enjoy ourselves more.

BTW, who did you say made that brew... I forgot :? I'll be drinking that one Friday night and would like to give credit where credit is due,

Cheers

No problem Tony - Good to meet you!

In that case I'll thank him in advance... Thanks HP.

I'll let you know how it was.. I'll have my BJCP book with me to see how it measures up to "book" standards and my tasting of

OK, just popped the cap on this baby.

Black as the ace of spades with a thick head that drops to a thin lace. Aroma of chocolate is all I can get... my nose is stuffed up.
Taste of chocolate plums, not sweet but has a full flavour, and the alcohol comes through. Slight dry aftertaste makes me want more.
I would say to anyone versed in judging this style, it would be spot on and I would take another anytime.. nudge nudge, wink wink.

Great job HP. Did you enter this in any comp... if you did , I bet you won. :cheers2:

Edit: the more I drink it the more I crave it. Man that is one tasty bit of work.

Glad to hear it was well enjoyed.. I was worried that the large headspace might have been an issue.

Not at all. Still heard the sound of carbonation when I opened it.. Yummy.

Tastes so good I have to make a couple of lemon meringue pies. I hope to post some pics later. lol. My wife says I should get a life for posting pics of food. I guess she don't get it.
I said to my wife that beer tastes like a black forest cake but she still wouldn't try it, lol.
