I was just looking at it on the radar..seems that most of it either went out to sea or hit NB.

A good part of it is tracking right over us. It's slowing down a bit at the moment but there's more to come in the next few hours apparently.

I plowed the driveway about an hour ago and we had a good 30 cms down so far. Both the snow and the winds haven't died down yet.

Hardly anything to speak of in Lower Sackville - maybe 15cm's. Sun was out when I was clearing the driveway. Getting darker now though so maybe there's a bit more coming.

The snow plough has just barrelled through our yard at 100MPH, he normally takes half the garden with him, but usually spares the cars touch wood. $30 worth of destruction. He (Billy) is from the mountain and he never comes until it's done ...we're done.

but yea, seems like it's calmed off in Sackville. Not nearly what I expected. WAH day that was slow, so I got everything for my Rye Altbier and next batch of APA weighed out. Probably mill the grain tonight. Get some propane and a fresh CO2 tank this week (hopefully) and have a full double brew day Sat. :cheers2:

I'm doin' it Keith. :D

Bitter tomorrow, then I've run out of keezer/keg space. I got out my old stainless steel "growlers" (1L SS drink bottles I got from CT on sale) and some is going in there to the basement to free up space.

A couple of Cm's of snow that changed over to freezing rain here. Supposed to rain and get to 9C by tomorrow morning. This kind of winter I can handle.

Nothing had fallen as of midnight, but I awoke to 8cm of snow, which is now being rained upon.
Roads are going to be slick, beware of idiot drivers out there today (even more than usual)!

It's crappy enough here with the winds. Enough that I skipped the market - but I'm out of good coffee. Might have to strap up the snowshoes.

Monday & Tuesday.
Special weather statement in effect for:
•Kings County

Snow expected to develop on Monday.

A low pressure system will approach the Maritimes on Monday and spread snow across the region. The snow will persist into Tuesday and be accompanied by strong winds. Current indications suggest that the snow will change to rain along the Atlantic coast and eastern sections of the province early Tuesday morning.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

I finished shoveling the drive for it to start freezing rain not even 5 mins after. Hopefully it isn't too icy tomorrow AM. Need to go get the van a few KM away. Couldn't get any traction up the hill from my sitters. It was all ice with that powdery shit on it.

Well, I took the garbage up. Simple matter really, just had to dig a 6’ trench through to the garbage shed at wind chill temperatures of -22C.

The snow plough got stuck in our yard this morning…that’s a first. He got someone to pull him out and he’s left, says the snow is too deep :(
