Happy Tibbs Eve to you as well Bluenose. Married to a Newfoundlander so that is the only reason why I know what Tibbs eve is.
Missed a chance to celebrate Saint Tibb last night.

Attitudes to female sexuality have changed thank goodness. Men were the only ones allowed to have a libido in the old days. They must have been a bit frustrated, since the women weren't.
Wiki:..The word "tibb" is archaic slang for a sexually promiscuous woman. In 17th century English plays Tibb was a common character of a loose-moraled woman used for comic relief. Referring to Saint Tibb was a joke that would go over the head of children who believed her to be a real saint. Similarly, Tibb's Eve was a "non-time" like "the twelfth of never" or "when two Mondays fall together."[2] Over time the name has evolved with some people referring to it as Tipp's Eve or Tipsy Eve—the latter being tied to the holiday's association with drinking.
Tibb's Eve, also known as Tipp's Eve or Tipsy Eve is a celebration held on December 23 originating in the town of Hr. Breton the south coast of Newfoundland.[1]
The festivity began sometime around the mid-20th century as the first night during Advent when it was appropriate to have a drink. Advent was a sober, religious time of year and traditionally people would not drink alcohol until Christmas day at the earliest. Tibb's Eve emerged as an excuse to imbibe two days earlier. According to Dr. Phil Hiscock of Memorial University's Folklore Department the tradition of celebrating Tibb's Eve is similar to 19th century workers taking Saint Monday off from work.[2]

Prostitution in Canada is legal as there are no laws prohibiting the exchange of sex for money. On the 20th December 2013, the Supreme Court of Canada found the laws prohibiting brothels, public communication for the purpose of prostitution, and living on the profits of prostitution to be unconstitutional. The ruling gives the Canadian parliament 12 months to rewrite the prostitution laws; in the meantime, anti-prostitution laws will continue to be enforced.

There is a general agreement that the status quo of prostitution in Canada is problematic, but there is no consensus on what should be done. There is an ideological disagreement between those who want to see prostitution eliminated, generally because they view it either as an exploitative or unacceptable part of society, and those who view prostitution as a transaction between consenting adults and advocate decriminalisation.
What will happen? What should happen?

Legalize it, safer for everyone involved and would be a source of tax revenue.

Muchc like a lot of recreational drug use, alcohol, etc, things shouldnt be banned because people thought they were immoral. They all have issues of one sort or another, but banning them just pushes the trade underground, funding pimps/drug dealers/ rum runners instead of the government, and attaching a stigma so no one will seek treatment. Legalize and regulate, safer for all.
