I'm driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata LE - https://www.google.ca/search?q=2009+hyu ... 83#imgdii=_" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It's nothing too fancy, but it's a good size, not terrible on gas, and is a big step up for the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire I was driving before that. I don't miss that car at all.

We're expecting our 3rd kid in August so I had to break down and buy a van (Honda). Saddest day of my life. The worst part is that I have actually started to enjoy driving it.

Looks like you could get a lot of bags of grain/kegs/beer supplies in one of those. Does it have a name?
It can handle alot of stuff. Here is a pic from a camping trip.... lol.

As for the name "Gas Whore" is suitable.

Yup it is 4x4, was awesome this winter. No shovelling for me, just drove out of the snow bank

It is a bit thirsty though, 15 liters/100km or so.

15/100 isn't that bad I only get 12.6 from my impreza, luckily we get 4.6 from the wife's Prius

Yeah, not bad at all. I only get about 13 to 13.5 out of my Forester.

The first new car I bought when newly qualified was a Citroen 2CV Beachcomber. I loved it. It was designed for French peasants. My sister is a French Peasant and works in the fields in the south of France. She's the one who got it right, I remember driving to market at 4.30 in the morning in the south of France with a load of haricot fin and cantaloupe melons, then going to breakfast after selling the crop, steak and red wine. Beautiful way of life. I spent my summers down there working in the fields when I was at university.

The 2CV had large diameter wheels and front wheel drive so it didn’t get stuck in the mud. It had a two cylinder air cooled engine, It would clap along at 80 miles an hour and would do 78 miles per imperial gallon. It had a crank handle in case your battery ran flat. The roof rolled back for sunny days or you could take it right off. The seats easily came out so you could just have the driver’s seat and load it up. I kitted mine out with a stereo, and with the roof off and the doors open, it doubled as a party stereo on the beach. “Relax”, by Frankie goes to Hollywood was my favorite at the time. If I could get another one I’d jump at the chance. They had one on display in Duggers for a while and I almost died from the nostalgia when I saw it. Everyone else was getting VW Golf GTIs back then (usually with a wind surfer on the roof rack).

Wow Tim, does that ever look like a 91 Corolla coupe! The beamer design team can really recognize a classic.

"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

I'm waiting for you to put a few Perlicks on the side of that Dodge Grand Caravan (don't tell me you haven't thought about that already) and call it "Stanley Dodge" or something. A beefed up stereo and it would be the ultimate cool party machine. We need one for the Brewnosers. Can we start raising funds for one.
