Wordpress was the route I was planning on going since I've got an arsenal of plugins that I've written. But out of the box plugins and whatnot aren't always the best way to go. A lot of parts of Wordpress are strung together with spaghetti code. That part isn't a worry for me regardless, whipping up snippets of PHP (or Ruby, Python, etc.) and necessary JavaScript doesn't take that long since I spend my days elbow deep in it.

That's what I like to hear. My main concern is having a site that other people can take over if you're unable to do it for some reason in the future.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Absolutely, that's what I'm aiming for—building something that anyone will be able to maintain. I definitely won't be hacking away at the core of Wordpress, just augmenting it with plugins and such.

I would hope so. Most of my business these days is customizing Plone sites, but ootb is all we could possibly need right now (though if somebody felt like adding anything fancy, I wouldn't want to stop them...)
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale

I should throw my hat in the ring too. I don't have any pictures or copy to send your way, but navigating WordPress and Drupal and writing bits of code is something I'm capable of, if there's a need of a bit of assistance implementing/maintaining it.

Excellent, good to know. I think the biggest thing we need right now is all the content that needs to be on the site so we can do a bit of an inventory and figure out the information architecture of the site.
