The thread called "Drilling through the hump" or something similar in the DIY forum disappeared into the ether shortly after I posted in it last night. Swine was the last one to comment in it, and his reply still shows on the front page (see screenshot below), but it's missing the thread title and if you click the link to go to the post you get an error.

Has it been disappeared for good or can it be rescued?

The thread with my recipe for this year's advent also disappeared.
