Spammers

Post by mr x » Mon Sep 26, 2011 10:06 am

We don't get many, but I thought an official thread to identify them might make life easier for the people who boot them into hell.

Part of me wants to suggest upping the verification requirements. The rest of me doesn't want to scare new users. Does the system send a confirmation email out to ensure the address is legit?
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

From what I've read online about the verification that I am using now, is that it hasn't yet been cracked and the only thing getting past it is human spammers that hand it over to a bot once registered.

There isn't really enough getting through at this point for me to be concerned about it.

I sent you and chalmers a note in my spammer list via the continuing email. Did it go to trash?

Edit: Only went to chalmers, he must have missed it.

I got it, but didn't delete them cuz they hadn't spammed. I'm not going to deny that their posts weren't the most informative or legible , but I could say that about half of the guys on here! ;)

You have a sixth sense for them. Maybe you should be able to remove them just by thinking abut it.
