Is there a way to have links open a new window, instead of exiting the BN website? Is this a forum fix, or is a Firefos setting?

It's the way the forum software is setup. I will look into changing the code..I find it pretty annoying too!

Links should open in a new tab and not a new window. I'm mostly in the habit of just holding CTRL when clicking links to open in new tab anyway.

Yeah, that's what I mean, a new tab.

Any links now posted should open in a new tab. Links previously posted will still open the way they did before.

You mean you aren't going to spend your Saturday going back and individually fixing the code for every link? And you call yourself an administrator...

Soon enough, I've almost got everything I need to complete my setup. It should only be a matter of putting it all together

I don't think HTML gives you the option to force links to open in a new tab - that's up to you to specify in your browser configuration. Perhaps some browsers have a non-standard attribute but at least in HTML4 there isn't one - after all, none of the browsers had tabs when html 4 was standardized.

hold the control key while you click the ink (or if you're using a mouse - just click the middle mouse button).
This should open the link in a new tab.
