Site issues and free upgrade

Hey Everyone,
As you've probably noticed we had an extended outage lasting about a day and a half. It was due to network problems our provider (Cloud at Cost) had after a problem with their internet fibre connection.
They're trying to make up for it by offering free upgrades to existing customers. I'm going to look into it and if I think it's worth doing then I'll have to shut the webserver down to make a few backups, upgrade, then turn it back up. This way we won't lose any data in the upgrade, which is pretty important right now since the competition entry software is on the same host (ie: we don't want entries to go missing).
Also I just want to note that backups are done every night and I had a snapshot as of the morning of the outage.
Yes, I still think using this host is worth it. I wouldn't trust it with a mission critical business but for forums I think it's great. Well, as long as we don't have outages like that very often.
Cheers,
-Rob
