If you try wooden bungs on glass carboys be careful for swelling. I think there was an article on themadfermentationist about that and the carboy broke

Plan on brewing a lambic soon. I want to avoid glass carboy. I do have a plastic carboy that is the same shape as the glass. Thoughts?

Also does anyone know what the fermentation process is for lambics? Primary secondary etc?

I think turbid mash is normally done with lambics.

Probably start first with an infusion mash, and then blend as it ages with more complex batches. want to keep things as simple as possible my first go.

Michael Tonsmeire says in his book that he ages (secondary fermentation) wild beers in plastic carboys up to 18 months with no oxidative or acetic character.
