Re: Ipa recipe
Mod this recipe a bit as an ale. Up the bitterness hops to get you into the 50-60 range, and just use centennial and Amarillo @ 20 to flameout. Throw in a bit of kilned malt as you see fit, 5 or 10 percent. My 2C.

Re: Ipa recipe
Sounds good to me. I did just brew an ipa with 1lb of victory, which is what it called for. I know this is way to much but I like what victory adds to a ipa

Re: Ipa recipe
8 lb 2 row
1lb c30.
1lb munic
.5 victory
This is what I'll try this time around. Looking for a ipa with some solid malt profile.

Christ, I forgot a link to a recipe I was meaning for you to mod. Just coincidence that the above post still made sense, lol. But you seem to have something already in mind anyway, so hardly matters...

BCS, if I could find it, is a good source and you can easily mod them.

Re: Ipa recipe
SwAp the crystal 40 for the victory you have.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: Ipa recipe
That's likely what I'll do. Toss in the victory in place of the c 40.bMashed my last ipa at 149 and it really dried the beer out. Helped get my fg down to an acceptable level. Currently building a rims system. Have two kegs that I'll retro fit. As of right now I'm using the biab method. Looking forward to the added eff of batch sparging .
