Unfiltered Brewing Inc.

Post by Brewnoser » Fri May 06, 2016 10:32 pm

Not going to the pub to drop a few hundred with the crowd I'm with. Murphy still maintains my brother, the only real beer writer in Eastern Canada, is banned. Because he described him (Andrew) as "nasty". Which I always thought he took as a compliment.

So Lion and Bright sales increase tonight and Unfiltered gets zero national press from the writers with us. Kinda stupid. Should be about the beer. Which should be known as the best in Canada. But when you ban the person who covers Atlantic Canada for our only beer mag you lose.

Reminds me of some kid who jams a handgun down his belt and shoot his nuts off.

And I have the DOA to drink later. Without the bar profit.

Me. I'll continue to drink there. The beers are great. But when the national press is in town they won't come with me. End of story.

Shared the beer. Much loved by all. Also there is still a keg of the last one on tap at Lion and Bright.

Oh the drama.....

I (we) don't care about having our faces plastered in magazines or national press. We're a 15 bbl craft brewery in north Halifax and that's all we ever want to be, corporate bullshit be damned. Taps Mag and your brother only make themselves look bad by publishing stories on the local scene whilst excluding us, they lose not us. Those in the know seek us out and it's not from reading a magazine. The sooner you come to understand this the sooner you'll be able to move on with life.

Your brother (Craig) slagged my partner and we've made you well aware that he's welcome at our brewery any time pending an apology for doing so. Until that happens, go ahead and head down the street and take the beer writing and magazines with yas'. Made his bed....

Should you wish to continue this conversation contact A or A directly. I have no time or energy for the drama, I'm done :welcome:

All I am saying is I am disappointed I cannot show off your beer to visitors at the pub.

And just to remind you, whether you wish to remember it or not, Taps did an entire issue where almost all the content was Nash. And it was all written by Craig. So most of the exposure you've gotten outside of the Maritimes came via the pathway your partner has blocked.

He has pitched stories about unfiltered several times but Taps management seems to wish to ignore you.

No idea why.

Happy to have had the opportunity to try Riddle of Steel last night at Duckys. Juicy all right, buzz word or no. The Gospel was shared around the table.

Assuming you mean Riddle of Steel, it's gone from the brewery. Still some at Bishop's Cellar though.

Yes. Maybe not with Mosaic, but definitely dry hopped.

Edit - scratch that. Description on Untappd from last year does say Mosaic.

Woot, love the Daytimer!

And in case folks hadn't heard, they'll be open at noon on both Sat and Sun for the next several months (previously open at 4pm Sat).

We've always opened at noon for growler sales in the retail store. The new noon opening hours are for Charm School Pub, which may possibly mean the store will close because we sell everything from the pub side as well if that makes sense

Long story short is we are now open at noon Saturdays for growler sales AND pints/snacks. :cheers2:

You dry hopped the stout? I assumed it was just late kettle hopped. TIL.

Yes, sorry, forgot to specify Charm School's hours are the ones changing. Thanks for setting me straight. And that does make sense about adjusting the brewery's hours accordingly.

Looking forward to many pints of this very soon!
