I wouldn't hold out for just the body - it is one of the five gallon orange ones from Home Depot and is just barely big enough for five gallon batches (especially for big beers). If for some reason it still interests you let me know. I'll probably be done with it mid-May.Swine wrote:Any chance you will have a cooler mash tun?
I am in the market.

Consider it yours then. I'll let you know when I'm done with it. No worries if you find something better before then.

Sorry to hear that Sandy. No problem for me to drop it off with Mitch.
Thanks for offering to be middleman Mitch. Are you still off work for your foot? I could drop off on Tuesday during the day if you will be around.

Shit, I never thought, I could have grabbed it today when I was over. I can fill in if it's easier Mitch?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I live more or less right next to sandy so as long as George drops off the cash and Lucas drops off the burner it's all kept in the north end.

Re: Moving Sale (Updated June 11 - Kettle + Blichmann Burner
Glad to help.
George should be by with Sandy's money this afternoon/evening, so Lucas can drop by anytime tomorrow (that isn't too early, I've been off work for weeks and am generally slow moving so actually getting out of the house in time for mcdonald's breakfast was pretty out of the ordinary today) to swap and I'll hold on to the burner until Sandy gets back from CB.

Kettle is yours if you want it Mr. Cheezle. Send me a PM when you know when you'll be hitting Halifax. As long as it is out of here by the end of the month it is all good.

Re: Moving Sale (Updated June 11 - Kettle + Blichmann Burner
A couple more things available now. I'm planning to be around on Thursday evening so it would be great if these items could be picked up then.
16 quart stainless steel pot from Noble Grape. I used it for heating sparge water and doing decoctions on 5 gallon (or smaller) batches and it served me well. $10

2x One gallon jugs. $2 each

Re: Moving Sale (June 21 Update - Cheap Pot and Jugs)
is the 16qt still available? I'll take that for sure. I am just taking the jump from malt kits to beginner grain (best case kits) and looking for a bigger pot.

Re: Moving Sale (July 11 Update - Carboys, FastRack, etc.)
Final clearout! If possible I'd like to bring this stuff to this month's HRM meeting at Kyle's in the West End on July 12. Respond in the thread to let everyone know you're interested and stake a claim, and then PM for details.
FastRack - two racks, one tray: $20 OBO

One 19L carboy and one 23L carboy: $10 each. Would need a ride to Kyle's place from North St. near Gottingen if you want these, or you could pick up at North St. some time this week. These still have a fermentation ring but I am out of PBW so they will not be completely clean. No pictures yet but I will add some when I get home this afternoon (July 11) if there is interest.
2x One gallon jugs. $2 each

3x white Noble Grape buckets (probably too scratched to use for fermentation or bottling, and two out of three lids have a hole for an airlock): FREE if anyone wants them for something like grain storage.
Ten 375mL and one 1500mL green Belgian heavy bottles (take a cork or 29mm cap): FREE if anyone wants them (CartoonCod?) That big bottle is so much fun for sharing!

Cheers!
