2 Questions about adding fruit to my beer please
ok I'm making a raspberry wheat ale and my first question is what fruit to gallon ratio should I use for adding fruit to beer in general and also I want to know how exactly do I calculate abv with fruit I heard its kind of hard. I would like to know how much abv is in my beers when people try them please and thank you.

Re: 2 Questions about adding fruit to my beer please
For raspberries, I've gone in the range of 1-1.5lb/gallon, but it really depends how much raspberry character you want. Raspberries are really good at imparting their flavour and colour even at 1lb/gallon. As for ABV contribution, I wouldn't even be concerned because the water content in the fruit would negate the potential increase in sugars. Regardless found this neat calculator:BiersalBrewery wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 2:44 pmok I'm making a raspberry wheat ale and my first question is what fruit to gallon ratio should I use for adding fruit to beer in general and also I want to know how exactly do I calculate abv with fruit I heard its kind of hard.
