Decembeer 2019 Day 24 - Santa Voss - Kveik Kringle
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Super tasty. Appreciated how balanced this was. Malt present but not sweet. Thanks for sharing Brian!

Delicious! The carbonation and mouthfeel are amazing, it's super soft if that makes sense. There is a light malty sweetness and the spices are just right.
Can't wait for Big Spruce to brew this one up

Obviously a lovely beer considering it won the BS comp. I think what impresses me the most about this is the balance that other people have mentioned. For something with so many additions and flavors, I still thoroughly enjoyed the whole glass; no palate fatigue at all.

Drank this last night with some other fantastic beers. Very tasty, and well balanced, as others have noted.
Was suprised to have the honey so prominent in the aroma and taste, especially with only 6%?!? - reminded me a lot of a mead I made last year.
Thanks for the share, and Happy New Year!
