what's happening folks,
I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with Omega's HotHead yeast. I'm brewing a NEIPA next weekend and the yeast choices are somewhat limited these days. I grabbed a pouch with the recipe and it seems like it may work. My other option is US-05, which doesn't seem to fit.

Hothead is great, not really an considerations I'd worry about taking with it. Compared to some other varieties of kveik it's a little more restrained on character, but it still suits the style well and has some complimentary fruity esters.

Re: Omega HotHead
I have a starter of hothead ready to pitch in a brown ale in the next couple of days. I'm planning on fermenting it at the lower end of the range, 22 degrees. This will be my first time using it though.
